We may still be dreaming of the days when we can walk into a pub, club or nightclub here in Ireland without catching Covid - but in seems that some folk in Texas, USA have no such qualms.
Hundreds of people packed a nightclub in Houston, Texas to watch rapper Bow Wow perform in recent days.
Footage emerged of the Ohio-born star performing his song 'Like You' to a crowd of mostly mask-less fans at the city's Cle nightclub - even though the venue's official policy is to enforce mask wearing, as per their website.
The 33-year-old responded in a series of now-deleted tweets which read: "Man I been hosting parties all last year. I wore my mask in the club. I cant host with that thing on.
“I promise my mask i wore in the club up until i got on the mic. That simple. Keep sanitiser on me at all times."
He added: "Man Texas is open. Atl (Atlanta) is open. I cant help I live in a city where we been open since last spring", noting that he had apparently been tested 'twice' before the gig.
The footage drew criticism on social media, including actor Zach Braff, who tweeted: "I thought about it and have decided I’m not willing to die for Bow Wow.”
