They're possibly the hottest property in Irish music at the moment - and 2017 is shaping up to be a big year for Athy duo Picture This.
We managed to grab a quick five minutes for a rapid-fire quiz round with young Jimmy Rainsford and Ryan Hennessy, who sold out their forthcoming first-ever Irish tour - including three nights at the Olympia Theatre next week - very, very quickly indeed.
Their self-titled debut EP is out now.
**********
First album you ever bought?
Jimmy: Mine was Californication, and it was on tape. I was 5 or 6, maybe?
Ryan: Mine was Luke Kelly's Greatest Hits. I was about 9. I don't know why I liked it when I was 9, but I did.
J: I was around the same age as well. When did Californication come out? 2000? I was 7 or 8, so.
**
First gig you ever went to?
J: Metallica, and I was 11. It is a pretty cool first gig.
R: I don't know... hmmm. I think it was actually The Script at the 3Arena.
**
Describe the minute before you go on stage in three words.
J: Loose and colourful.
R: (laughs) Yeah, I'll go with that, too.
**
How do you wind down after gigs?
J: Hmmm. Well, I remember once after playing a gig, we went home and played football in the car park at Topaz (laughs).
**
Name one film, record and book that people should own.
J: Film? I have to say Inception.
R: I'll say This is England. Record? I'll say 'What's the Story Morning Glory'. And book, I'll say 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath.
**
If you're ordering take-away, what's your first choice?
R: I enjoy a kebab.
J: I was gonna say kebab, too!
**
That's the gig rider easily sorted, so. And finally, favourite city - outside of Dublin, of course?
J: I'm gonna say Vienna.
R: Mine is Manchester. I've got a lot of family over there and I support Man United, so...
