Since Prince died in April without leaving a will, matters concerning his estate have become pretty messy.

Several months ago, it was rumoured that Paisley Park - the Minnesota compound where he recorded, live and ultimately died - was to be turned into a Graceland-style museum.

Late last week, however, TMZ reported that the executors of his estate planned to put the compound up for sale along with several other properties owned by the late star - despite his family's desire to keep it. A petition filed in court on Friday requested permission to sell up to 20 of his properties for an estimated $28 million.

Now, however, Bremer Trust - the administrators responsible for the property - have denied that this is the case. They issued a statement saying:  "Bremer Trust, the special administrator for the Prince Rogers Nelson estate, has no plans to sell either Paisley Park or the property referred to as the "Purple Rain" house."

Fingers crossed that the 'museum' idea remains a possibility.
