Australian pop four-piece have been recently criticised for their new single, which many believe bears a striking resemblance to a My Chemical Romance song from 2006.
The band - who have toured with One Direction in the past - said in an interview with Billboard that the similarities between their song 'She's Kinda Hot' and 'Teenagers' was deliberate.
"I think it might be in the same key as well," said lead singer Michael Clifford. "People were like, 'You guys should sound more like My Chemical Romance.' Then we do sound like My Chemical Romance and people are like, 'Why the f*ck do you sound like My Chemical Romance?' Ugh!"
