Yesterday's news meant that the live music sector in Ireland has essentially been shut down for the coming months.

The government issued a directive that means that all large gatherings of more than 5,000 people - both cultural and sporting - are to be banned until September, at least. This led to a slew of summer music festivals cancelling their 2020 editions.

However, it did throw up the question of whether or not smaller-scale gigs will go ahead - such as the Live at the Iveagh Gardens gig series. As it stands, Electric Picnic lies outside that timeframe and has not yet been cancelled.

That said, would you attend such events even if they did go ahead with limited capacity? Does the prospect of mingling in crowds make you uneasy? And how do you feel about the future of gigs and live events in general?
