They were spotted having dinner in Los Angeles last week, and now it looks like Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are working together again in a musical capacity.

The two surving Beatles have happily remained friendly over the years and even performed together at the Grammys in 2014 - but now it looks like McCartney is appearing on a new project of Starr's, if the latter's tweet is anything to go by.

He posted a picture of the two, saying 'Thanks for coming over man and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love', followed by a rake of emojis, and Twitter basically melted:
