Noel Gallagher can say whatever he likes about Radiohead's music, but he can't pull off posing with a Star Wars character like Thom Yorke can.

Photos from the LA premiere of The Last Jedi have been doing the rounds in recent days, and Yorke was pictured having a good ol' natter with the adorable BB-8 on the red carpet, a la Laura Dern.

To give him credit, he really committed to the photo op - getting down to the droid's level, having a cross-legged chat and generally becoming BFFs with BB-8.

A cameo in the next film is surely on the cards after this. Scratch that -  give the people what they want and write him in as a full-blown sidekick, stat.
