It's been a big year for Jack Garratt, there's no question.
The young Englishman started off 2016 by being named winner of the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, went on to collect the Brit Critics' Choice Award, and released his debut album 'Phase' not long afterwards, which has been pretty successful.
Now, he's also got the thumbs-up from the Leader of the Free World, who responded to Garratt sending him a copy of 'Phase' with an official letter.
Garratt said that he sent him the album to thank him for "bringing the world closer together [and] that I was proud to be part of a generation that saw first hand the efforts that went into trying to eradicate hate and promote equality."
In response, Obama sent him a letter of thanks back, which he shared on Twitter:
(3) I wanted to share my thanks and gratitude with @POTUS, a person who wanted to change the world with positivity.
I received this today. pic.twitter.com/8VbmL0wxon— Jack Garratt (@JackGarratt) September 21, 2016
Who knows? If Obama wasn't about to vacate the White House, he may have even made his next Spotify playlist...
