The old saying 'You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone' has taken on a new meaning in 2020, but it's ringing especially true this weekend for music fans across Ireland.
As you may know - maybe you were even one of the 70,000 people who'd nabbed a ticket for the sold-out festival - Electric Picnic 2020 was due to take place this weekend.
The headliners were Rage Against the Machine, Snow Patrol and The Chemical Brothers, with everyone from Run the Jewels to Picture This to Lewis Capaldi also on the bill.
Needless to say, people are very sad about the fact that Ireland's biggest festival is not taking place and have been sharing their feelings on Twitter...
I swear I’ll never complain about the walk from the carparks to Electric Picnic ever EVER again 😩😩

I would happily swim to @EPfestival this weekend, rain? wind? Plague of locust? I care not. I just want a beer in a field at a gig with my friends. #ElectricPicnic Also, I am a very poor swimmer so this is a serious statement.

We'd be loading the Saba-Dilla trailer now, the excitement building, did we pack the cable ties, who has the passes, which gate? There's yer man! See you in the trailer park. Old faces, new faces. Best of days, memories, craic, next year my friends. @electricpicnic we miss you!
