It was a busy weekend of music - not only in Dublin, where multiple gigs, events and festivals were running - but across the water, too.

The world's biggest music festival took place over the weekend in Glastonbury, where headliners included Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA.

Another artist who drew a huge crowd was Shania Twain, who also played Dublin's Malahide Castle on Friday night and played Worthy Farm yesterday afternoon.

Glasto always attracts celebs who can be spotted at the side of the stage here and there - but one man who was mixing with the crowds was our own Paul Mescal.

The Maynooth native was even persuaded to stop for a vox pop by the BBC, where he was seen in his customary GAA shorts completing the famous intro to 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman'.

Whether he actually went to see Twain or not is another story, but let's pretend that he did.

It seemed that Mescal was part of a much bigger crowd of actor friends, which also included Saoirse Ronan, her boyfriend Jack Lowden, Andrew Scott and 'All of Us Strangers' director Andrew Haigh.

There was no sign of his rumoured new girlfriend Gracie Abrams, though - the American musician who is a friend of Taylor Swift and daughter of director JJ Abrams - with whom he was spotted on a date in London in recent days...
