Paul Brady has been selected as this year's recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

Brady, whose career spans four decades - most notably with regular collaborator Andy Irvine, as well as a lengthy solo career and even some time in Planxty - will be honoured at the NCH on Friday, November 20th.

The gala concert will see a performance by Brady himself, along with various musicians that he has collaborated with over the years.

“We are delighted to announce Paul Brady as the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award," said NCH CEO Simon Taylor. "Paul's contribution to the musical life of Ireland as both a performer and song-writer over the course of five decades has been immense. As with his predecessors as recipients of this award, The Chieftains, Sir James Galway and Dr. Veronica Dunne, his work has also had a major international impact, putting the quality of Irish music making on a world stage”.

Tickets for the event are €59.50, €49.50 and €39.50, and available tomorrow at 10am from nch.ie.
