Paddy Casey, The Riptide Movement and several other Irish bands and artists are taking part in a charity gig hoping to raise funds for the treatment of a little girl from Dublin with cancer next week.

'A Gig for Robyn' hopes to raise funds for 10-year-old Robyn Smyth, who has battled neuroblastoma - a cancer common in young children - since the age of three. She was declared cancer-free in 2009, but unfortunately relapsed less than two years ago and the cancer has now spread to her leg, pelvis and spine.

The best chance for her survival is for her to undergo clinical trials in America, and her family are doing all they can to raise money for this via the charity RobynsLife.com.

Joining Paddy Casey and The Riptide Movement at Whelan's next Wednesday, May 27th are:

Liam Ó Maonlaí

Declan Greene

Eoin Glackin

Laura Elizabeth Hughes

Kicking Bird

The Line-Up Gospel Choir

with more acts TBC.

Tickets are on sale now at €16 via wavtickets.ie. Alternatively, you can donate €2 by texting ROBYN to 57802, or donating via RobynsLife.com.
