If you're a seasoned clubber, you'll be well used to seeing all sorts of strange things going on, both on the stage and on the dancefloor - but a recent David Guetta gig in Ibiza took the proverbial space cake.

Guetta used a live horse during his 'F*ck Me I'm Famous' opening party at Pacha in Ibiza in May, but it's only come to light after his fellow DJ Deadmau5 took umbrage with it, linking to a (now removed) YouTube video and tweeting his disgust, calling Guetta a "shitty overpaid DJ."

Guetta has allegedly rented the horse from a local stable to use in his show every Thursday of his residency at the club, for the entire summer season - but a fan-created petition has now been launched, denouncing the DJ.

"The horse has to enter the big PACHA hall at 4 a.m. in the morning, where a huge crowd of people, drunken and drugged, screaming and sweating, are celebrating their party night. The noise and smell is unbearable for most people, but the more for an animal," the petition reads.

"Even if the owner of the horse says that it was trained for shows and also is wearing earplugs, so it is still irresponsible to put a horse in the middle of the night under so much stress. My attention was brought to this case, because a visitor of the show contacted me because she observed that the horse was extremely stressed."

At time of writing, the petition has been signed over 7,800 times.

Some footage of the horse - which is ridden by a woman wearing a Native American headdress - remains online at YouTube and can be seen below:
