Ocean Colour Scene's superb guitarist Steve Craddock has told NME.com that he plans to go on tour with Primal Scream bassist Mani.
The pairing is the result of a gig the two played together in Camden's Prince of Wales pub on January 20th, with a band that included Paul Weller's drummer Stevie Pilgrim and keyboard player Andy Crofts, OCS's Andy Bennett on guitar and Craddock's wife Sally on vocals. Craddock was so impressed with the performance that he has decided to take the project on tour to support his new solo album 'The Kundalini Target'.
Craddock, who also plays guitar full time with Paul Weller's band, admitted to NME that he initially found it difficult to write full songs rather than just guitar parts. His new solo work has won him celebrity fans in the form of Liam Gallagher and Richard Hawley, while work on a new Ocean Colour Scene album is due to begin this May.
