Oasis drummer Zak Starkey has reportedly left the band after falling out with guitarist/singer Noel Gallagher.

The Sun newspaper yesterday reported that Starkey is unlikely to play with the Mancunians again, and that his work on their new album, set for release later this year, will be his last involvement with Oasis.

The band have yet to issue a statement, but reports suggest that arguments with Noel Gallagher and 'disagreements in general' led Starkey, son of Ringo, to quit. He has played with the band since 2004, when he replaced long-time drummer Alan White.
