Noel Gallagher has spent much of the past couple of years denying rumours of an Oasis reunion and has been forced to reiterate his stance, given a series of rumours linking the Manchester band with the Glastonbury 2014 headline slot ahead of the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album Definitely Maybe.

Speaking to talkSPORT (yep, seriously), Noel Gallagher said: "Maybe people think that if they keep saying it, it will eventually happen. It's not going to happen. Unless they're doing it without me, but without me it would be rubbish."

He continued: "One can never say never because one might be skint. But I've no intention, I'm not interested."

Speculation reached its highest levels recently when Liam Gallagher commented that an Oasis reunion would happen "if the musical Gods want it to happen".

Oasis haven't performed together since the brothers' fractious relationship came to a head in August 2009.
