Sound. That's not all; Noel also had these nuggets to add during a recent interview via Music Feeds: "If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll f***ing tell them... I just don't see what all the fuss is about. I don't like her music. I think it's music for f***ing grannies."

Noel seems to be getting just a little bit jaded when it comes to being asked his thoughts regarding the singer: "If I get asked a question on anything, I give a straight answer... Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I’m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria. It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go. Lately, the one I've been asked about is Adele."

That's because, not sure you've noticed Noel, but she's making something of an epic comeback.

Ending his Adele-fuelled rant about the state of music today: "music has nosedived into f***ing blandness - a sea of cheese."

Just to add a bit of Bah Humbug to proceedings, Noel had this to add regarding Half The World Away being used for this year's John Lewis ad: "It will forever be synonymous with Christmas from now on and, as is well known, it's not my favourite time of year." Still there's always a silver lining: "Having said that, at least it comes with a cheque, which, believe me, is highly worthwhile."

Twitter had its own opinion...
