Noel's second solo album 'Chasing Yesterday' will be released in March of next year with dates in Dublin and Belfast scheduled for the same month.

Noel Gallagher has announced details of his second record 'Chasing Yesterday' in a live chat with fans on Facebook earlier today. Also part of the announcement was details of a UK & Ireland tour, to take in dates in Belfast's Odyssey Arena on March 3rd and Dublin's 3Arena the following night, March 4th.

Johnny Marr performs on the record's final track, as per Gallagher, who was effusive in his praise for the former Smiths guitarist.

"He's a very enthusiastic artist and I tried to get him to play on 'What A Life'. He's a truly great guitarist and he has some that nobody else has. He's amazing, a top man", said Noel today.

The first single from the collection is called 'In The Heat of the Moment' (which you can hear above), a song which Gallagher says was "the last track to be recorded. Is it great? Of course it is. What does it mean? It doesn't mean anything."

Noel Gallagher will play:

Belfast, Odyssey Arena (March 3)
Dublin, 3 Arena (4)
Nottingham, Capital FM Arena (6)
Glasgow, The SSE Hydro (7)
Manchester, Arena, (9)
London, O2 Arena (10)
