Adele may pitch herself as a 'woman of the people', but one person who's not buying it is Noel Gallagher.
Gallagher himself is known for speaking his mind and not pulling punches -and he has made his feelings on the Londoner known in a new podcast interview.
Although on paper it might seem as though the two musicians might get on, when asked if he was a fan of Adele's, Gallagher responded: "‘F**k off, f***ing hell. Name one [song]?' They’re f***ing s**t. It’s f***ing awful. It’s f***ing Cilla Black. I find it and that whole thing offensive."
He later added that he had reason to dislike Adele on a personal level after he was irked by a proposed meeting between the two musicians.
While they were both attending the same event, he was not happy that she "sent someone over to f**king ask, “Did I want to meet her?” That’s what riled me’."
He added: "I’m not one for causing a scene, I just stick it in the vault and just think revenge is a dish best served cold."
Adele has not publicly responded to the comments.
