Weezer are the latest in an ever growing list of music stars recording and releasing football songs for the world cup. The California pop punks unveiled their song supporting the US team on Friday. 'Represent' is available to download for free from iTunes, or you can just listen to it below.

On a vaguely related note, Fatboy Slim has come out against football songs, and said that he would never record one himself.
"I have been asked to do quite a few bits but I just think it's all a bit wrong. I love football and I love making my own music but I just think the two things should never come together."

Of Dizzee Rascal & James Corden's 'Shout', which is now no. 1 in the UK singles chart, he said, "Well, it's alright, I suppose. Sorry, Diz".

Couldn't agree more, Norman.
