Weezer's recent output may be patchy to say the least, but there's no doubt that the American indie-rockers have some great tunes in their back catalogue.

And frontman Rivers Cuomo is not the angry young man he once was, either - in fact, it seems that he has settled into a blissful domestic life if his recent stage antics are anything to go by.

By 'antics', we mean 'bringing his dad and daughter out on stage (on seperate occasions) to play with the band', making his gigs a family affair in the truest sense.

Cuomo invited his dad Frank on stage at the band's gig in Irvine, California the other night to play drums on 'Beverly Hills', posting a pic to Instagram saying: "For only the second time, Rivers is joined by his dad Frank Cuomo on stage, at #irvinemeadows on 8/6/16. Frank was a jazz percussionist in NYC in the late 60's, and brought a fine flavor to Beverly Hills, layering up sweetly over Pats massive backbeats."

Earlier in the tour, Cuomo's daughter Mia had also joined her dad to play keyboard on the song 'Perfect Situation' from 'Make Believe':

Meanwhile, bassist Scott Shriner was also joined by his son for a tune:

All this to say, a Weezer gig is certainly a very different prospect in 2016.
