The musical performances at the Oscars always provide a talking point of some sort, but last night's performance of 'Everything is Awesome' from 'The Lego Movie' was notable for all the right reasons.
The song was performed by sisters Tegan & Sara and musical comedy troupe The Lonely Island, and it certainly didn't disappoint. An amazingly colourful set, dancing possums, Questlove on drums (!), Mark Mothersbaugh from Devo (who produced the song), Oprah Winfrey with her mouth agape and a general all-round sense of fun combined for a truly err… awesome performance (sorry sorry sorry).
Unfortunately, it didn't win 'Best Original Song', however - that title was nabbed by John Legend and Common for 'Glory', taken from the soundtrack of 'Selma'.
