Pink took home the MTV version of the lifetime achievement award, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, at last night's ceremony and did so by not only stunning audiences with a jaw-dropping performance but also moved them with an inspiring speech about and to her daughter.
Pink's seven-minute performance featured a medley of hits from her 18-year career included everything from "Get The Party Started", "Raise Your Glass", and "So What" to brand new single "What About Us", with a few more hits thrown in for good measure that we'd forgotten about but are definitely still bangers.
Pink then took to the podium to accept her award and told a moving story about her daughter and beauty standards and self-empowerment that was the highlight of the night, made even more so by the fact that she told the story with her daughter in the audience to her tell it and see what a badass her mother really is.
