If you've ever listened to the music of Flying Lotus - or indeed, been to one of his AV shows - you'll probably be aware that the experimental electronic musician doesn't do things by the book.

That goes for his filmmaking too, as his debut feature 'Kuso' demonstrates.

The premiere of the LA musician and filmmaker's work took place at the Sundance Film Festival last weekend, and apparently there were multiple walk-outs because the thing was too just damned gory, grotesque and weird.

As Pitchfork described it, "There’s gore, genital mutilation, a scene where a man has sex with a talking boil, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg."
