They're a band who have been tipped for greatness over the past year or two and it seems that The Academic are making their mark in an unusual way, thanks to Facebook.
The Mullingar band were taking part in a Facebook Live broadcast yesterday afternoon, but like any live broadcast there's a delay/time lag of a few seconds.
The four-piece put that delay to good use when playing their song 'Bear Claws' though, as you'll see below - creating a very cool 'looped' effect that pieces the song together bit by bit as the original video is projected behind them.
It's closing in on 350,000 views in less than a day, with various media sources picking up on their inventiveness.
