A smidge of controversy erupted last month when it was announced that Lady Gaga was to perform a one-woman tribute to David Bowie at this year's Grammys.
Many people - and artists, as it happens - felt that Bowie's legacy should have been commemorated with a group effort, rather than leaving it all to one woman (even if she was a superfan and got an Aladdin Sane tattoo the other day).
As it happens, Gaga's tribute to the iconic musician was pretty classy, all told.
Dressed and made-up in the same androgynous manner as Bowie was famous for in his heyday, she opened with 'Space Odyssey' (complete with some cool visual make-up effects), before playing a medley that included 'Changes', a seamless costume change for 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Suffragette City', 'Rebel Rebel', 'Fashion' and 'Fame', before being joined by Chic's Nile Rodgers for 'Let's Dance' (Rodgers produced Bowie's album of the same name) and an explosive climax on 'Heroes'.
