It's fair to say that while Jessie J is nowhere near a global star, she's pretty well-known in many parts of the world.

The 'Price Tag' singer has been around for 7 or 8 years at this point, so you'd think that she would be glad to have bypassed the whole 'reality show' and 'TV talent show' as a contestant to achieve her level of fame - after all, she's even been a judge on The Voice UK and The Voice Australia.

However, it appears that the London singer has been taking part as a contestant in the Chinese TV talent show 'Singer' - and what's more (perhaps unsurprisingly, given her experience in the industry), she's doing pretty well. She's already performed her own song 'Domino' as well as being praised for her cover of Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing' and is the first English competitor to take part.

She told The Strait Times: "There's nothing I can't do. That's how I feel in my heart…I'm turning 30 this year and I just think, why not? It's an experience I'll never forget and may never get again and I'm gonna sing like I've never sung before."

The competition runs until April 13th, so we'll see if she gets that far. Considering she's been ranked in first place for the first two episodes, something tells us she might just make it... as well as finding a canny way to break into the lucrative territory. We'd simply love to know what her fellow competitors think of that.
