The Grammys take place this Sunday night in Los Angeles, and as we've previously reported, some of the biggest names in contemporary music will be lining up to perform live on the night.

There will also be a series of duets – some more unusual than others – between many of the performers.

Below, we take a look at the performers who will be singing together and the songs that they're most likely to collaborate on.

Sam Smith & Mary J. Blige

It's pretty much a given that they'll do Smith's 'Stay With Me', since they've already performed it together.

Hozier & Annie Lennox

It's gotta be Hozier's smash hit 'Take Me to Church'. Even we're getting a bit tired of hearing him sing this song (especially when his album is full of better tunes), so we're looking forward to hearing what Lennox will bring to it.

Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga

They've done a whole album of duets together ('Cheek to Cheek'), so it could be any of 'em – we'll put our money on 'Let's Face the Music and Dance'. Which, in fairness, is pretty great.

Chris Martin & Beck

An unusual pairing for sure; they're going to do a song from Beck's latest album 'Morning Phase'. Which one? Since 'Blue Moon' is nominated for Best Rock Song, it's gotta be that one.

Ed Sheeran & ELO

Jeff Lynne's ELO have an endless supply of pop classics in their canon, but we'd be surprised it if wasn't their biggest hit 'Mr. Blue Sky'.

Tom Jones & Jessie J

Whatever they sing together, let's hope it's over quickly. The less time we have to hear the godawful Jessie J screech and flap about, the better. It's quite likely to be this poppy arrangement of 'Mockingbird', which they previously duetted on in 2012.

Gwen Stefani & Adam Levine

A Maroon 5 song? A No Doubt song? Neither? We can easily imagine Levine joining in on a song like 'Hella Good', but Stefani has featured on a Maroon 5 song, 'My Heart is Open' - so it's gotta be that one.

Kanye West, Rihanna & Paul McCartney

This bizarre triumvirate will be performing their new single 'FourFiveSeconds' together. Can someone please make Paul McCartney that he, y'know, doesn't have to do this kind of thing anymore if he doesn't want to?
