We're finding it hard to keep up with the rumours of a potential Spice Girls reunion, as the story seems to be changing daily. The only possible explanation is that we're being trolled on an almighty scale - or else they really are the most disorganised band to ever tout a reunion.

First, the quintet were all on for getting back together - as they did for the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics - to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut single in 2016.

Then Posh Spice was out as she reportedly doesn't want to tour, swiftly followed by Sporty Spice - who said she was only on board if all five members were taking part.

Ginger, Scary and Baby then started talking up a reunion gig/tour with just the three of them, possibly after auditioning stand-in members; then Scary, aka Mel B, hinted that they were pushing it back to 2017.

The other day, it was reported that the whole thing was on the verge of being called off - but the latest is that they have booked a massive gig in London for summer 2017.

The trio are supposedly playing Hyde Park next July, and now Sporty Spice, aka Mel C, might be on board again, as she told The Sun: "I am keeping tight-lipped. There are lots of discussions going on. Right now I am in the studio working on my own album and that is my focus. I'm taking it slowly."

Verdict: we're being trolled. Well played, Spice Girls.

If that is the case, however, and they are playing Hyde Park... could a possible gig at Croke Park also be on the agenda for summer 2017? You read it here first, people...
