Bad news if you had a ticket for one of The Saw Doctors' forthcoming three gigs at Dublin's Olympia Theatre this week - unfortunately they've been postponed.

The band have had to reschedule their sold-out run at the Dublin venue due to illness.

The statement released by promoters MCD reads: "Singer Davy Carton underwent a minor throat operation last week. The Saw Doctors will not be able to play their three sold out concerts at Dublin Olympia this week on Thursday Nov 24, Friday Nov 25 and Saturday Nov 26."

Leo Moran of the band said: "The Saw Doctors regret that they won't be able to play for all our loyal and faithful fans this week in Dublin at the Olympia Theatre. Davy needs time to rest and rehab his damaged vocal chords. We are looking forward to getting back on the road next Spring and playing our favourite Irish venue Dublin Olympia for three nights on March 10 / 11 / 15."

The three rescheduled dates are:

Tickets for Sat 26th Nov will be valid for Sat 11th March
Tickets for Fri 25th Nov will be valid for Fri 10th March
Tickets for Thurs 24th will be valid for Wed 15th March

All tickets are also available for refund from point of purchase.
