Bad news for Rolling Stones fans, reports, er, Rolling Stone, as the band have stated that they won't be touring later this year to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
"Basically, we're just not ready", Keith Richards was quoted as saying before suggesting that 2013 is a more realistic goal for a tour. However, Rolling Stone (the magazine, this is getting confusing..) asserts that Richards' health is at the centre of the Stones' inability to tour this year, saying that the guitarist is still suffering from a head injury sustained while on holiday in Fiji in 2006.
If the Stones do tour in 2013 it will come after one of the longest periods of inactivity in the group's long history.
