The Erics take place in The Button Factory on January 29th and will see four of the country's most exciting musical acts entertain the crowd on the night.

Over the next few days, we'll grab a quick chat with each of them.

Today, we spoke to Dublin electro-pop demi gods Le Galaxie, who'll return to The Erics for the second year running - this time capping off the night with a DJ set to keep the audience dancing. "This year's Erics will be so spectacular you might just forget who Cantona, Roberts and Clapton even are," frontman Michael Pope told us when we caught up with him.

You can read our chat with Daithí here; check back over the next few days for our catch-ups with The Riptide Movement and State Lights. And don't forget that tickets for The Erics are available at a limited price now.

You're playing The Erics (again) at the end of this month – what can we expect from your DJ set, as opposed to your live set?

Well it will be a whole lot different to our AWARD WINNING live set, but you'll lose yourself to dance nonetheless.

In what marvellous ways has winning Best Live Act at last year's Erics changed your life?

We now have the right to pasture sheep in St. Stephen's Green with our friend Paul. Get well soon, Paul!

For someone who's never heard Le Galaxie's music, describe it in three words.

Melody. Beat. Cry.

You guys are renowned for your live performances, but does that ever put unrealistic pressure on you to make every show amazing? Even the best band in the world has off days…

If you're calling us the best band in the world, then I really hope The Kaiser Chiefs aren't reading this. We feed off what's in front of us. If the crowd is feeding us steak and eggs then we will give back all that energy tenfold. However, if they are feeding us dried Koka noodles on the heel of a sliced pan, then we can only do so much. I fear this analogy has lost its way...

What was your favourite album/gig of last year?

Album - Our Love by Caribou. Gig - Caribou in Vicar Street or Hall & Oates in The Olympia.

What was the best gig that you played in 2014?

The Erics OBVIOUSLY. Come on, guys.

In an ideal world, what should we put on your Erics rider?

Hysteria - The Def Leppard Story on DVD. Hysteria the album on CD. Joe Elliot from Def Leppard.

What release/gig are you most looking forward to in 2015?

I'd really love an Irish festival to book either M83, !!! or The Presets this year.

What can we expect of Le Galaxie in 2015 – does the album have a release date yet?

Despite what you may have heard, our new album is not called 'Thanks Obama!'. That was just one of the POSSIBLE titles. Our 2nd record 'Le Club' will be out early this year, the details will be with you all very soon.

What would most people be surprised to find out about Le Galaxie?

Our age.
