Alex Band, singer with US soft rock band The Calling, was abducted, viciously assaulted on Saturday in Lapeer, Michigan.
According to numerous reports online, Band had left his hotel room after a live performance to get some food when a van pulled up alongside him and he was snatched inside.
Band then allegedly suffered a vicious and prolonged assault before being dumped from the van on nearby train tracks. It is also understood that he was robbed during the incident.
He was found by his bandmates sometime later. According to TMZ, Band is alive but his exact condition isn't yet known.
The Lapeer City Police Department has announced the suspects are two males who were driving a blue mini-van.
Band had announced just last week that The Calling have reformed after an eight year hiatus.
