Never one to shy away from controversy, Kanye West has had a go at the Grammy Awards claiming that his skin colour is responsible for him winning his relatively modest haul of 21 awards. Oh, Kanye...

Outraged that his album Yeezus was overlooked by the Grammys for 2013's best album in last week's nominations, Kanye took an opportunity to vent onstage during a show in Arizona and suggested that the snub was racially motivated.

Kanye let loose, saying: "I'm 36 years old and I have 21 Grammys. That's the most Grammys of any 36-year-old. Out of all of those 21 Grammys, I've never won a Grammy against a white artist. So when the Grammy nominations come out, and Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list (meaning the end of year 'best of' lists), but only gets two nominations from the Grammys, what are they trying to say? Do they think that I wouldn't notice?"

He continued: "Do they think that, some way, that I don't have the power to completely diminish all of their credibility at this moment?"

West's two nominations are for best rap album and best rap song for 'New Slaves' but doesn't seem impressed with those two nods.

"People come to me and congratulate me on the those two nominations", West continued. "Fuck those nominations! I would rather have no nominations."

Somehow, we don't think that's true Kanye.
