Radiohead have paid tribute to Scott Johnson, their drum technician who died on Saturday when the roof of the band's stage in Toronto collapsed prior to the show.
Johnson, who was from Doncaster, has also worked for bands such as Keane and White Lies, was working on the stage when the top part of it collapsed on him. Three others were injured in the incident, one seriously. The band were not on stage at the time.
Radiohead drummer Philip Selway posted a message on the band's official website about the incident: "We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott's family and all those close to him."
The collapse happened about an hour before fans were due to be admitted to the outdoor arena. Canadian health and safety authorities are due to inspect the collapsed stage as soon the structure is deemed safe.
Radiohead's next scheduled show is on Saturday 30th June in Rome.
