The music world was in shock on Friday when the untimely death of Swedish superstar DJ Avicii was announced.
The 'Wake Me Up' star, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was just 28 and many stars and fans alike led tributes to him on social media over the weekend.
Now, police in Oman - the Middle Eastern country where he died - have said that they are not treating his death as suspicious, although a cause of death has not been revealed.
CNN have reported that the Royal Oman Police confirmed that "two postmortems were carried out … and [police] can confirm that there is no criminal suspicion in the death”.
Bergling retired from live performances in 2016 after suffering health problems including “acute pancreatitis, in part due to excessive drinking” and he had his gall bladder and appendix removed. It is not yet known if this was a contributory factor to his death. His parents and siblings are currently in Oman to bring his body back to Sweden.
