A hundred or so lucky patrons crammed themselves into Doyle's in Dublin last night where they were treated to an impromptu performance from chart-topper Ed Sheeran, scroll down for the photographic evidence.
The flame-haired troubadour is in town to promote his second album, the already hugely successful 'x', and found the time to play at Doyle's famous gig series The Ruby Sessions, a place Sheeran has previously played before becoming the massive star he is today. Ed played the majority of the two-hour set standing on a table in the middle of the room and was joined by his cousin Laura Sheeran (whose wedding Ed is also in town for), Sarah Lynch on fiddle and Ruby Sessions honcho Conor Donovan on cajon.
Sheeran's Irish doppleganger Gavin James was also photographed in the same room at the same time proving once and for all that he and Ed are definitely different people.
