Young American 'emo rapper' Lil Peep has died at the age of 21.
The New Yorker, real name Gustav Ahr, turned 21 just over two weeks ago and had released various mixtapes and one album, 'Come Over When You're Sober Pt.1'.
He had been hailed as 'one to watch' by many for his offbeat approach to rapping, taking influence from emo, trap and rock in his work.
Although his cause of death has yet TBC, reports suggest that it may be drug-related after a friend tweeted about him being in hospital in recent days following an overdose. His manager Chase Ortega tweeted that he had been 'expecting this call for a year.'
The rapper had regularly spoken and written about his addiction problems in his music.
