This year's MTV VMA's will be very Beyonce heavy. In addition to being nominated for eight awards (making her the most nominated artist this year), MTV will also honour the 'Drunk In Love' singer with their Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in recognition of her body of work up to now.

Past winners of this award include he likes of the Beastie Boys, Britney Spears and, of course, Michael Jackson.

Beyonce will cap the memorable night by also performing live at the bash which'll take place at the Inglewood Forum in California on August 24th. The other awards Beyonce is in the running for include Best Female, Best Collaboration and the curiously titled Best Video with a Social Message.

Going back to her Destiny's Child days, Beyonce has taken home 11 VMAs in total so you'd think she'd be sick of them by now...
