A number of British artists have teamed up to record a charity single for the people affected by the recent fire at London's Grenfell Tower.
Simon Cowell is the mastermind behind 'Artists for Grenfell', who have covered Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', as well as setting up a website to donate directly. Over 79 people are now presumed dead after the fire at the tower block last Wednesday.
Stormzy, Robbie Williams, Brian May (Queen), Emeli Sandé, Bastille, Nile Rodgers, Carl Barat (The Libertines), Dua Lipa and Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson (One Direction) feature on the single, alongside Geri Halliwell, Rita Ora, Kelly Jones (Stereophonics), Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend (The Who), Craig David, James Blunt, Labrinth, James Arthur, Tulisa and more.
It's released today and Cowell explained that a huge number of artists had participated. "Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in West London, the record industry came together to record a single for the victims of the disaster," he said. "Over 50 artists gave their time and support to make this happen.”
