They're not the most obvious of musical bedfellows, true - but it's only fair to reserve judgement on what a Sting and Shaggy collaboration might sound like until you've actually heard it.
That's right; the Geordie musician and the Jamaican reggae singer/rapper are releasing an album called '44/876' that's out on April 20th (and that 4/20 release date is no accident), and as Sting told Rolling Stone, "The most important thing to me in any kind of music is surprise. And everybody is surprised by this collaboration – by what they're hearing. We're surprising."
According to Shaggy, meanwhile, the first single 'Don't Make Me Wait' - which was what kick-started the whole project - sounds like "something that hundreds of women would get pregnant to."
