Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has claimed that there is a "conspiracy" by the BRIT Awards to "shut rock out".

Unsurprisingly, the rockers have not been nominated for an award for their latest album '48:13'. They also headlined Glastonbury last year, but have failed to be acknowledged for either feat.

"It's a conspiracy," Pizzorno told The Independent. "They're trying to shut rock n' roll out of [the Brits]. What sort of message does that send to working class rock 'n' roll bands which the industry is in dire need of? Kasabian couldn't have done any more last year. It's bullshit really."
