In a statement worthy of Kanye West himself, pop star Jessie J has declared herself 'one of the greatest singers' in a new interview.
The British star was speaking to Women's Health magazine when she was asked why she wasn't performing at the BRIT Awards.
She said: "It makes me sad. "I've done the Grammys, the VMAs... my profile in America is that I'm kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it."
"I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas," she added. "I go hard because I hope and pray that one day, people look back and go, 'She could really f**king sing, you know'. Which is why I keep going."
Needless to say, her comments haven't gone down too well with the great unwashed on Twitter:
@JessieJ being oh so incredibly humble in new @womenshealthmag we'd rather you stay in the US darling https://t.co/TXgpJiHf3A

Britain may not see Jessie J as “one of the greatest singers”, but at least she has TUC https://t.co/eKnnoLK0rz pic.twitter.com/zDesUWQpbi

Jessie J claims in America she is celebrated as one of the greatest singers. I think she needs to look at her recent chart positions there.
