Jay Z has made a change to his moniker - but it's not that drastic.
The Magna Carta Holy Grail star has decided to drop the hyphen from his official title, so Jay-Z is now known as Jay Z.
Joe Levy, editor of Billboard, last night tweeted: "Breaking: Jay Z has dropped the hyphen from his name, according to his label. I'm not kidding. (Wish I was.) Copy editors: take note."
Meanwhile, the newly dehyphenated Jay Z took a jaunt out to Salisbury Cathedral earlier this week, according to The Sun, to pay a visit to the real Magna Carta - a historical document which was the inspiration for the title of his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Magna Carta Holy Grail has enjoyed a successful time since its recent release. The album has shot straight to the top of the charts in many markets worldwide and broke Spotify records by being streamed over 14 million times in the first week of its release.
