Former White Stripe Jack White has announced a brand new solo album, the follow-up to 2012's outstanding Blunderbuss

The name of the record is Lazaretto which, according to our Google Fu, is the term given to a "quarantine station for maritime travellers". The album will come out in the second week of May through White's Third Man label and above is an instrumental track sampler from the upcoming collection called 'High Ball Stepper'. The title-track first single from the record will be released later this month.

White's inaugural solo effort garnered him five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, and high placing on a slew of Best of 2011 lists (including ours).
