MCD have this morning confirmed that their longtime flagship festival Oxegen will return this year to its traditional home in Punchestown on the August Bank Holiday weekend (Aug 2nd - 4th).

Speculation had been mounting as to whether or not the festival would take place this year, especially considering it took a hiatus last summer for the first time in its history. Word leaked out last week, though, that it would likely be going ahead when a license application document for Punchestown found its way online, essentially confirming Oxegen's re-emergence.

The festival will be a slightly smaller affair this year with its attendance limited to 50,000 punters, down from the usual number of around 80,000.

The line-up for will be announced on Monday 22nd April at 8am and we'll bring it to you as soon as it's released.

MCD have announced a special 24 hour ticket offer for Oxegen '13 too, where you can save €74 from the 2011 ticket prices if you purchase yours between 8am on Friday 26th and 8am the following morning, Saturday 27th of April.

Regular ticket prices are €129 for 2 day weekend, non-camping and 3 day weekend camping will cost you €149.50.
