Ed Sheeran has responded to Noel Gallagher's recent (rather hilarious) tirade about the former playing Wembley Stadium later this year.
Gallagher is never one to pull punches, and said in an interview in the most recent issue of NME, "I don’t think I can live in a world where that’s even possible. When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there’s a ginger guy with a fucking guitar it seems subversive, but it’s fucking not."
Several musicians came out in support of Sheeran, including Bastille frontman Dan Smith, who tweeted the below:
Do you reckon someone has a new record to promote...? “@NME: Noel Gallagher: "I can't live in a world where Ed Sheeran's headlining Wembley”

His input didn't go down well with some onlookers:
Imagine having a pop at Noel Gallagher when you're in Bastille.....

Now Sheeran himself has replied to Gallagher's initial comments:
@IndyMusic i can live in it, its really enjoyable

As reported last week, Sheeran will play a special gig at Dublin's Whelan's on Saturday, January 24th for VH1's Storytellers show. Ticket registration is open now.
