Not long after David Bowie's death in January, his film director son Duncan Jones announced that the late icon's first grandchild was due to be born later in the year, as his wife Rodene was expecting.

Well, it turns out that the child in question was born - rather eerily - six months to the day after his famous granddad passed away, as Jones announced over the weekend.

Stenton David Jones made an appearance on July 10th. His name is both a tribute to his grandfather and his great-grandfather, whose name was Haywood Stenton 'John' Jones.

Let the children boogie, indeed.
