Dr. Conrad Murray has been sentenced to 4 years in jail for involuntary manslaughter, the maximum length possible. It is to be served in the Los Angeles jail.
Dr. Murray is also to pay an $800,000 restitution fee. As a convicted felon, Murray will be obligated to provide specimens to the LA DNA bank.
Michael Jackson's family had been seeking restitution fees in excess of $101million for loss of career earnings. This will be decided at a later date.
