Could a new Rihanna album be released before Christmas?
US radio DJ Skee seems to think so, yesterday tweeting that he would have 'exclusive news' on the album on his show and stating the album's release "is a lot closer than anyone realized, including her own record label. She’s trying to put out a project to capitalize off the fourth quarter."
The claim was denied by Rihanna, who tweeted "Any news about #R8 will be delivered directly from me!!!" - but the Bajan pop star is known for her publicity stunts, so don't be surprised if she pulls a Beyoncé and drops a surprise album in the coming weeks.
To promote her last album - 2012's 'Unapologetic', her seventh in total - Rihanna chartered a plane to play gigs in seven countries in seven days. She brought journalists and media from around the world along for the ride, although many of them later claimed that the trip was shambolic and they were left waiting around for the singer for long periods of time.
Still, no publicity is bad publicity…
